Born in a family, which was known all over India for its musical rendition over the Violin, it was natural for Samir Seal, the eldest son of eminent violinist, the Late Sri Paritosh Seal, to take to music and violin.  Samir Seal’s association with music and violin began early when he stated to take lessons from his father in Indian Classical Music, and then he went on to learn Western Classical Music first under the tutelage of Mr. Hubert Medge at the age of four and then from Mr. Stanly Gomes of Calcutta Symphony Orchestra. Samir Seal was not only a renowned musician, but also a well-known arranger and music director having worked with film directors including Sri Satyajit Ray, Sri Gautam Ghosh, and singers including Sri Hemanta Mukherjee, Srimati Sandhya Mukherjee, Srimati Lata Mangeshkar, and a host of others from the Indian music Industry.
